Product Description
Polycarbonate is a high-performance thermoplastic polymer with the chemical formula (C15H16O2)n, typically appearing as a clear, colorless solid that can be easily colored with pigments or dyes. It has a density of approximately 1.20-1.22 g/cm³, making it lightweight yet durable. The material exhibits a high glass transition temperature of around 147°C (297°F), meaning it remains rigid at higher temperatures compared to many other plastics. Polycarbonate is also known for its high tensile strength (around 60-70 MPa) and exceptional impact resistance, with an Izod impact strength of approximately 600-850 J/m.
